What This Role Involves

Milton Hershey School is seeking dedicated Houseparents to live on campus and create a safe, nurturing home environment for students in a residential school setting. Houseparents support students’ daily routines, social and emotional growth, and character development while modeling positive values and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise after-school activities to ensure student safety and engagement.
• Manage household responsibilities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of living spaces.
• Facilitate a structured home environment that promotes academic success and personal growth.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students in various aspects of their lives.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support the overall well-being of students.

What You Bring

• A strong commitment to student welfare and development.
• Experience working with children, preferably in a residential or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to model positive values and life skills for students.
• Proficiency in managing household tasks and supervising activities.
