About the Role
As a Home Health Aide, you'll provide essential personal care and support to patients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. This is hands-on work that directly impacts patient well-being, making it ideal for someone genuinely committed to compassionate caregiving.
What You'll Do
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Perform light housekeeping and basic meal preparation related to patient care
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to nursing and clinical staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support within care plan guidelines
- Maintain safe, clean, and comfortable home environments for patients
- Document care activities and maintain patient privacy and dignity
What We're Looking For
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification, CNA, or STNA credential, or ability to obtain one
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable caregiving approach
- Strong communication and ability to collaborate with clinical teams
- Capability to assist with patient mobility and personal care tasks
- Reliable transportation to serve patients throughout Newark and the surrounding area
- Commitment to treating all patients with respect and maintaining confidentiality
- Flexibility and adaptability when working with diverse patient needs
