Join iLearn Schools as a High School Assistant Coach for Girls Volleyball in Passaic. This full-time coaching position offers the opportunity to develop and mentor student-athletes while partnering with our Head Coach to build an exceptional competitive program.
About the Role
As an Assistant Coach for Girls Volleyball, you'll play a vital role in the growth and success of our high school team. You'll work directly with student-athletes in grades 9-12, helping them develop technical skills, tactical understanding, and a competitive mindset. This hands-on position combines direct instruction, mentoring, and collaborative coaching to create a high-performance team environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading practice sessions focused on skill development, conditioning, and strategic training
- Provide direct instruction in volleyball techniques, game strategy, and athletic fundamentals
- Develop student-athletes across all grade levels, enhancing their technical performance and understanding of the sport
- Maintain a supportive, disciplined team culture that emphasizes excellence and personal growth
- Support game preparation, in-game coaching, and performance analysis
- Monitor athlete progress and communicate regularly with the Head Coach on development and performance
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for volleyball and coaching high school athletes
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and competitive play
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive athlete relationships
- Commitment to athlete development both athletically and as individuals
- Experience coaching or working with high school-aged students preferred
- Flexibility to support team schedules, including practices and competitions
