About the Role

Skillit. is recruiting skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to support construction and site development projects throughout the region. You'll work on diverse jobsites, managing heavy machinery to complete grading, excavation, and site preparation tasks that form the foundation of successful construction projects.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and similar heavy construction equipment
• Perform precise grading, trenching, and excavation work according to project specifications and site plans
• Conduct site preparation activities including clearing, leveling, and material movement
• Inspect equipment before each shift to ensure safe operation and report maintenance needs
• Follow all OSHA safety protocols and jobsite safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with project supervisors and crew members
• Move materials and manage debris removal as directed

What We're Looking For

• Valid operator certification or licensing for heavy equipment operation (required)
• Proven experience operating construction machinery in commercial or residential settings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment handling
