About the Role
As a Heavy Equipment Operator in Ormond Beach, you'll play an essential part in construction and site development projects. This is a full-time position designed for experienced equipment operators who take pride in precision work and safety-first practices.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and related equipment
- Prepare and grade job sites according to blueprints and supervisor specifications
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and conduct pre-operation safety checks
- Coordinate with construction crews and project managers to maintain workflow and safety standards
- Transport materials and equipment as needed on and around work sites
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy construction equipment
- Valid US driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and site plans
- Current safety certifications (OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent preferred)
