Praxis Precision Medicines is seeking an experienced Head of Global Medical Affairs to lead our medical affairs strategy and team across the United States. About the Role
As Head of Global Medical Affairs at Praxis Precision Medicines, you will direct all medical affairs operations and shape our scientific strategy for the neuroscience portfolio. In this leadership position, you'll ensure scientific rigor, regulatory compliance, and meaningful engagement with healthcare providers throughout product development and commercialization.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the global medical affairs strategy aligned with our neuroscience pipeline objectives and commercial timeline
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing medical affairs team to deliver scientific excellence
- Oversee medical education programs, clinical publications, and scientific advisory board engagement
- Ensure regulatory compliance and partner with internal and external scientific collaborators
- Lead cross-functional initiatives connecting R&D, clinical development, regulatory, and commercial functions
- Represent Praxis Precision Medicines at scientific conferences and key opinion leader meetings in neuroscience
- Manage budgets and operational resources for all medical affairs activities
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive experience in medical affairs, including at least 5 years leading a team
- Demonstrated success in neuroscience, specialty pharma, or biotechnology companies
- Strong background in clinical trial strategy, regulatory affairs, and medical communications
- Proven leadership excellence with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or biomedical science preferred
- Willingness to travel as required for business development and team engagement
