Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Des Moines County, seeks an experienced Head Men's and Women's Wrestling Coach to lead its NJCAA Division I wrestling program. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build a competitive program while developing student-athletes academically and athletically.
About the Role
As Head Coach, you will direct all facets of the men's and women's wrestling program, from recruiting and athlete development to program operations and financial management. You will create a culture of excellence that balances competitive success with the college mission of supporting student growth and achievement.
What You'll Do
- Recruit, evaluate, and enroll qualified student-athletes who meet academic and athletic standards
- Plan and conduct daily wrestling practices, incorporating strength, technique, and conditioning work
- Develop and execute individualized training and competitive strategies for all athletes
- Oversee team travel logistics, competition schedules, and tournament entries
- Manage program budget and resource allocation responsibly
- Coordinate fundraising activities to support program growth and operations
- Maintain compliance with NJCAA regulations and institutional policies
- Support student-athlete success both in competition and in the classroom

- Demonstrated experience as a wrestling coach at the collegiate or competitive level
- Strong knowledge of NJCAA rules, regulations, and competitive standards
- Proven ability to recruit and develop wrestlers across multiple weight classes
