Scheduled hours vary and include evening availability, with an anticipated start in June or July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach safe, motivating SilverSneakers Classic, Circuit, or Yoga classes for participants of varying fitness levels.
- Adapt exercises and demonstrate proper technique to keep every attendee moving comfortably and confidently.
- Foster a welcoming, supportive class environment that encourages consistency and community.
- Set up and maintain equipment, and follow facility safety standards at the Eden Prairie Community Center.
- Coordinate with the Recreation Supervisor – Fitness on scheduling and program needs.
Qualifications
- Current group fitness or specialty certification appropriate to SilverSneakers Classic, Circuit, or Yoga instruction.
- Experience leading group exercise, ideally for older or mixed-ability adults.
- Knowledge of safe movement, modifications, and injury-prevention practices.
- Strong communication and motivational skills, with a positive, participant-focused approach.
- Availability for a varied schedule, including evening classes.
