The Opportunity

As a General Laborer with Swank Construction Company, LLC, you'll be part of a crew that handles infrastructure, highway maintenance, airport work, and commercial construction projects. In this hands-on role, you'll assist experienced teams with concrete cutting, concrete joint rehabilitation, asphalt overlay work, and sealing operations. This is an excellent entry point into the construction industry for someone willing to work hard and learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize job sites, manage materials, and maintain safe, clean work areas
• Assist skilled tradespeople with concrete cutting, sawing, sealing, and joint rehabilitation work
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment under direct supervision
• Handle material and equipment loading, unloading, and transportation
• Follow all site safety protocols and construction safety guidelines
• Perform general maintenance and support equipment upkeep
• Respond to supervisor direction and adapt to changing site conditions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to perform sustained physical labor in outdoor work environments
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and site protocols
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation to Fayetteville, Cumberland County job sites
• No construction experience required—we provide hands-on training
