About the Role
As a Local Event Producer for Sofar Sounds in Long Beach, you'll be the driving force behind curated live experiences that connect audiences with emerging and established artists. This is a contract-based, revenue-share opportunity for a self-directed producer with deep roots in the Long Beach community and a genuine passion for live music and event creation.
What You'll Do
- Scout and secure unique venues throughout Long Beach and Los Angeles County—living rooms, rooftops, galleries, boutiques, and unconventional spaces that transform into intimate performance settings
- Identify, contact, and coordinate with local and touring musicians and artists to perform at your events
- Manage event logistics including scheduling, sound equipment, technical setup, and day-of coordination
- Market and promote Sofar Sounds events to build audience attendance and community awareness in Long Beach
- Handle vendor relationships, budgeting, and revenue tracking for your events
- Build and nurture a loyal local following of music fans and event supporters within the Long Beach community
What We're Looking For
- Deep, current knowledge of Long Beach—you live here and know the community, neighborhoods, and venue landscape inside and out
- Proven experience producing, promoting, or organizing live events, concerts, or music experiences
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to logistical detail
