Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at Excellence Coaches and Tours Pty Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of all company vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining optimal vehicle performance. This role is full-time and based in Manoora, Cairns, Australia, Australia.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy at all times
- Develop and implement vehicle safety policies and procedures
- Manage fuel and maintenance budgets effectively
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and vehicle operation
- Coordinate with drivers and other relevant departments to ensure smooth operations
- Perform regular fleet audits to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and safety
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the transportation industry
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and safety regulations
- Proven ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license with an unrestricted class A or B endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in fleet management software is advantageous
