Feed Mill Utility Worker

Prestage is hiring a Full-Time Feed Mill Utility Worker in Clinton, North Carolina. This is a hands-on production role essential to keeping our mill operations running smoothly and safely every day.

Role Overview

As a Feed Mill Utility Worker at Prestage, you'll be a critical part of our production team, performing preventive maintenance, equipment support, and general utility tasks that keep our feed mill operating at peak efficiency. You'll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where reliability and attention to safety are paramount. This is a full-time position based on-site in Clinton, North Carolina.

Core Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and equipment inspections on mill machinery and production systems
• Clean, sanitize, and prepare equipment and production areas according to safety and quality standards
• Assist with material handling, loading, and basic ingredient processing
• Monitor equipment operation and report any mechanical issues or unusual activity to supervisors
• Support production staff during shifts by running errands, moving materials, and performing general labor tasks
• Maintain work areas to keep them safe, organized, and free of hazards
• Follow all company safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations
• Complete routine equipment repairs or assist maintenance technicians with more complex work

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and standing for extended periods
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot simple equipment problems
• Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all company protocols and procedures
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (dust, noise, temperature variations)
• Experience in feed mills, manufacturing, or similar production environments is a plus
