About the Role
Collier County Public Schools is hiring a dedicated Music Teacher to lead comprehensive vocal music instruction for elementary students. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build musical foundations, develop vocal skills, and create meaningful performance experiences that enrich students' educational journey. You'll foster confident young singers while delivering engaging, standards-aligned music instruction across the elementary grades.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging vocal music curriculum that develops singing technique, music literacy, and performance skills
- Teach music theory, music notation, and listening comprehension to elementary learners
- Direct student choirs, ensemble performances, and school music productions
- Assess student musical understanding and skill development through observation and demonstration
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to integrate music across the school curriculum
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom where students of all abilities feel welcome to explore music
- Manage music classroom resources, instruments, and instructional materials
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Florida Teacher's Certificate in Music
- Passing score on the Florida Music Exam or an approved HOUSSE plan
- Expertise in vocal music pedagogy and elementary music education
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Dedication to fostering student confidence, creativity, and musical growth
