Position Summary

The Family Advocate serves as a supportive resource for identified families within the district—providing communication, assistance, and outreach without requiring a full-time commitment. This role is part of an extra-duty position that averages 5 hours per week and reports to the Building Principal.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain respectful, consistent communication with families
• Provide assistance and support to identified families within the district
• Conduct outreach activities to engage and support families in their child's education

Note that this position is stipend-based and does not require a full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A deep understanding of the importance of family engagement in education
• The ability to build positive relationships with families from diverse backgrounds
• Prior experience working with families or in a similar role is preferred but not required
