About the Role
As an Extra Help Official Court Reporter, you'll provide critical court reporting services to ensure accurate and complete records of judicial proceedings. Working directly with the court system, you'll document testimony, arguments, and all proceedings through either stenography or voice writing methods, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the judicial record.
What You'll Do
- Record and transcribe court proceedings using stenographic or voice writing techniques
- Produce accurate, timely transcripts of testimony and legal proceedings
- Manage exhibit markings and maintain detailed proceeding records
- Coordinate with attorneys, judges, and court staff to ensure complete documentation
- Meet strict deadlines for transcript preparation and delivery
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all court policies and procedures
- Respond to assignments on a flexible, as-needed basis
What We're Looking For
- Certification as a Court Reporter with expertise in stenography or voice writing
- Strong command of legal terminology and court procedure
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
