About the Role
You'll evaluate commercial roofing projects from conception to bid submission, translating architectural specifications and field conditions into precise cost estimates. Your work ensures Horizon Roofing can pursue projects profitably while remaining competitive in the marketplace. This position demands precision, systematic thinking, and genuine command of roofing systems and construction economics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspections and take detailed measurements for commercial roofing projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and scope documents with clients and internal teams
- Identify and price all materials, labor, equipment, and overhead for each project
- Develop comprehensive, itemized cost estimates and formal bid proposals
- Partner with sales, project leads, and field personnel on project details and feasibility
- File estimates and track bid outcomes to improve forecasting accuracy
- Address client inquiries regarding project costs and contract terms
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience estimating commercial roofing projects or comparable construction work
- Demonstrated proficiency with estimating software and standard business applications
