Endpoint Systems Engineer

Prime System Solutions is hiring an Endpoint Systems Engineer for a full-time remote position based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This role focuses on managing, supporting, and optimising enterprise endpoint infrastructure and user devices across our organisation.

Position Summary

As an Endpoint Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for the lifecycle management of desktop, laptop, and mobile devices within our IT environment. Working remotely, you'll ensure our endpoints are secure, compliant, and performant, whilst providing technical support and strategic guidance to teams reliant on this critical infrastructure.

Core Duties

• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint management solutions and device imaging processes
• Manage operating system installations, patches, and security updates across the device estate
• Administer mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) platforms
• Monitor endpoint health, performance, and compliance; troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Develop and document endpoint policies, standards, and procedures
• Collaborate with security and network teams to enforce endpoint protection requirements
• Provide technical guidance on device procurement, lifecycle planning, and retirement
• Support remote users and manage device onboarding and offboarding workflows

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Windows and/or macOS endpoints at scale
• Proficiency with endpoint management tools (e.g. Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Kandji, or similar)
• Working knowledge of Group Policy, Active Directory, or cloud directory services
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, antivirus, and threat detection technologies
• Experience with VPN, device encryption, and compliance monitoring
• Technical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with remote support tools
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Relevant IT certification (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft certified associate, or equivalent) preferred
