Early Career Human Health Risk Assessor

WSP is hiring a Full Time Early Career Human Health Risk Assessor in our Chelmsford office to join our Earth & Environment consulting team. This is an entry-level position for professionals ready to launch their career in environmental health and safety assessment.

About the Role

As an Early Career Human Health Risk Assessor at WSP, you'll support environmental consulting projects that help clients navigate health and environmental regulations, assess contaminated sites, and develop risk management strategies. Working within a collaborative team of experienced professionals, you'll apply scientific principles to real-world environmental challenges and develop the technical expertise that defines a career in risk assessment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct preliminary site assessments and environmental investigations to characterize potential health hazards
• Gather, review, and analyze environmental data and historical records to support risk evaluations
• Prepare technical reports and documentation under the guidance of senior assessors
• Support health-based risk calculations and exposure pathway analyses
• Assist with regulatory compliance research and environmental remediation projects
• Participate in site visits and field sampling activities as needed
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, toxicology, public health, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills
• Ability to learn complex environmental regulations and risk assessment methodologies
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in scientific work
