About the Role

The Recruitment Network is seeking experienced Duty Managers to join our casual events team in Wellington. We work with a variety of premium hospitality venues, festivals, corporate functions, stadium events, and large-scale gatherings.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the venue during events
• Manage staff and volunteers effectively
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Oversee food and beverage service
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Support event managers with planning and execution

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality or event management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• A valid New Zealand driver's license (due to potential travel between venues)
