The Opportunity
Prometric is hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Fundamentals of Cybersecurity to contribute to the development of DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) examinations. This full-time position, based in the United States, focuses on creating multiple-choice items that assess student mastery of cybersecurity fundamentals at the college and university level.
Core Duties
- Develop and write high-quality multiple-choice examination items aligned with established cybersecurity fundamentals content standards
- Ensure technical accuracy and clarity of all assessment content related to cybersecurity principles and practices
- Review, validate, and refine examination questions to meet rigorous assessment standards
- Collaborate with assessment design teams to ensure items meet both psychometric and educational best practices
- Contribute subject matter expertise to establish appropriate difficulty levels and discrimination indices for test items
Who We're Looking For
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in cybersecurity fundamentals, policy, or related fields
- Experience developing educational assessment content, exam items, or curriculum materials
- Strong written communication skills with ability to create clear, unambiguous test questions
- Familiarity with test development best practices, item writing standards, and psychometric principles preferred
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
