Test Center Administrator (FT)

Prometric is hiring a full-time Test Center Administrator to join its team at the Chicago, Cook County location — 1 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2300, Chicago, IL 60602.

About the Role

As a Test Center Administrator at Prometric's Chicago test center, you are the primary point of contact for every candidate who walks through the door. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to a secure testing environment directly shape the experience of professionals pursuing certifications and licensure that define their careers. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Test Center Manager.

What You'll Do

• Welcome and check in candidates, verify government-issued identification, and confirm exam registrations according to established procedures
• Administer and enforce security protocols — including biometric capture, personal belongings policies, and workstation setup — to maintain exam integrity
• Actively proctor live test sessions, monitoring candidate activity and the testing environment throughout each appointment
• Identify and document any irregularities or policy violations, escalating concerns to the Test Center Manager as required
• Troubleshoot basic workstation and peripheral issues; communicate with technical support teams when needed
• Keep the test center organized, clean, and compliant with Prometric standards at all times
• Provide clear, professional communication to candidates — answering procedural questions while maintaining strict neutrality on exam content
• Complete accurate session logs, incident reports, and daily administrative records

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a customer-facing, administrative, or proctoring role is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures with precision and consistency
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, composed demeanor under pressure
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning proprietary testing software
• Reliable punctuality and a professional appearance — candidates are depending on a timely, orderly experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations
