About the Role
As a Subject Matter Expert for DSST Criminal Justice, you'll play a critical role in designing and validating multiple-choice exam questions for college and university students. Your expertise will ensure that DSST assessments accurately measure student knowledge and align with current standards in criminal justice education. You'll work collaboratively with Prometric's assessment development team to maintain the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop original multiple-choice items for DSST Criminal Justice examinations
- Review and validate exam content for accuracy, clarity, and educational appropriateness
- Ensure test items reflect current criminal justice theory, practice, and law enforcement standards
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts and Prometric staff to review and refine assessment content
- Maintain objectivity and fairness standards to serve diverse student populations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of DSST examination quality and relevance
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated expertise in criminal justice, law enforcement, criminology, or related field
- Experience developing or reviewing educational assessments or exam content
- Strong ability to write clear, unambiguous test items
- Understanding of best practices in educational assessment and test development
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to academic rigor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
