The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Drug Education Support Service Worker to join our team in delivering AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) education and support services. This role is pivotal in addressing the needs of young people within Calvary’s accommodation programs, working under a harm reduction framework.
Core Duties
- Deliver AOD education sessions to young people in our care
- Support young people in addressing AOD issues and improving their knowledge and awareness
- Connect young people with specialist services for holistic support
- Work within a harm reduction framework to provide safe and supportive environments
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in AOD education or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to working with young people from diverse backgrounds
- Harm reduction principles and practices
- Understanding of the challenges faced by young people with AOD issues
