Districtwide Elementary Teacher, (Grade K-5)

The Easton Area School District is seeking a Full‑Time Districtwide Elementary Teacher (Grades K‑5) to serve students across its elementary schools in Easton, Northampton County.

About the Role

This position supports classroom instruction districtwide, working with diverse learners in kindergarten through fifth grade. The teacher collaborates with school staff to deliver curriculum that meets state standards while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Pennsylvania Academic Standards for grades K‑5.
• Deliver differentiated instruction that addresses varied learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative tools, using data to inform instruction.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and respect.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about academic performance and behavioral expectations.
• Participate in grade‑level meetings, professional learning communities, and district‑wide initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in elementary education.
• Contribute to school‑wide events, extracurricular activities, and collaborative projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Possession of, or eligibility for, a valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate appropriate for elementary education.
• A strong academic background demonstrated through undergraduate coursework and GPA.
• Excellent professional references that speak to teaching effectiveness and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to design and deliver standards‑based instruction for young learners.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
• Willingness to participate in collaborative planning and continuous improvement efforts.
• Flexibility to travel between district elementary schools as assigned.
