Director of Operations, Part 135

Metrea Management Llc is seeking a Director of Operations, Part 135 for our Tampa, Hillsborough County operations center. This full-time leadership role oversees all operational execution, regulatory compliance, and team management for our national security effects-as-a-service missions.

About the Role

As Director of Operations, you will manage all aspects of daily operations, ensure strict FAA Part 135 compliance, and lead high-performing teams. You'll be responsible for establishing operational standards, maintaining safety and security protocols, and driving continuous improvement across our mission-critical capabilities spanning airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation.

What You'll Do

• Direct all operational activities and ensure full compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations and company policies
• Lead, develop, and supervise operations personnel across multiple mission areas
• Establish, implement, and maintain operational procedures and safety protocols
• Monitor operational performance, metrics, and budget management
• Coordinate operations across airborne intelligence and surveillance, electronic warfare, communications, refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and simulation domains
• Partner with senior leadership to align operations with company strategy and objectives
• Identify operational challenges and drive process improvements

What We're Looking For

• Substantial operations management experience in aviation, defense, or mission-critical sectors
• In-depth knowledge of FAA Part 135 regulatory requirements and compliance practices
• Proven track record of effective team leadership and personnel management
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Capability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced, complex environments
