What This Role Involves

The Corporate Governance, Integrity and Risk Director will lead the Strategy, Governance and Capability Branch. Key responsibilities include ensuring strong governance, organisational capability, and effective stewardship to deliver strategic priorities. The role involves enterprise leadership in strategy, performance, risk management, finance, portfolio management, communications, and organisational capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the branch’s activities, ensuring alignment with National Archives’ strategic objectives.
• Lead the development of policies and frameworks to enhance corporate governance, integrity, and risk management practices.
• Oversee the implementation of enterprise-wide risk management strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organisational capability and performance improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, external partners, and internal departments.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess a proven track record in corporate governance, risk management, and integrity. Key requirements include:

• A relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in law, business, public administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change within an organisation.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
