Regional Manager & Sr. Director, Latin America (LATAM)

US Pharmacopeia (USP) is hiring a Regional Manager & Sr. Director, Latin America (LATAM) to lead the organization's scientific, regulatory, and commercial mission across the LATAM region. This remote, full-time leadership role is open to candidates based in the United States (MD, VA, DC, PA, WV, CA, MI, IL, KS, FL, NC, MN, or NH).

About the Role

As USP's most senior executive for Latin America, you will own the strategy, operations, and sustainable growth of USP's programs throughout the region. The position carries accountability for deepening USP's public health influence, advancing regulatory partnerships, nurturing stakeholder relationships, and delivering financial performance within a diverse and tightly regulated market. You will direct cross-functional teams spanning Scientific Programs, Strategic Customer Development, External Affairs, Marketing, and Operations, keeping every initiative aligned with USP's global strategy and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and carry out USP's regional plan for Latin America, pinpointing opportunities to expand standards adoption, reference materials, training, and partnerships.
• Engage health authorities, regulators, ministries of health, trade groups, academia, and public institutions, positioning USP as a trusted scientific and regulatory ally.
• Represent USP across regional forums, technical committees, and policy conversations.
• Own regional revenue growth, budgeting, forecasting, cost discipline, and long-term financial health in line with USP's non-profit purpose.
• Supervise operations, quality systems, compliance, risk management, and internal controls, while leading issue resolution in complex regulatory or geopolitical conditions.
• Recruit, lead, and grow high-performing, inclusive teams across multiple countries, supporting talent development and succession planning.
• Cultivate strategic alliances with regulatory agencies, the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and convention members, and support mission-aligned grant and donor initiatives where relevant.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Public Health, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated grasp of USP's mission and a record of building credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
• Proven leadership across scientific, commercial, and operational functions, ideally within highly regulated environments.
• Commitment to excellence delivered through inclusive, equitable, and collaborative practices.
