About the Role

As a Behavioral Health & Homeless Prevention Counselor, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-informed support that helps community members stabilize their lives and stay housed. Working alongside a mission-driven team in Seminole, you will combine therapeutic counseling with practical prevention services to address both the emotional and situational needs of the people you serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health counseling to individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
• Assess client needs and develop person-centered care and prevention plans.
• Connect clients with housing resources, community partners, and supportive services.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with program and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate ongoing care and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Background in counseling, social work, mental health, or a closely related field.
• Clinical licensure is valued and rewarded with additional compensation.
• Skill in building trust with vulnerable populations and navigating sensitive situations.
• Strong communication, assessment, and case-coordination abilities.
• Commitment to serving the Pinellas County community on-site in Seminole.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary of $73,000, with an extra $5,000 for licensed candidates.
