About the Role

Aldi is executing an ambitious expansion plan, adding 800 new locations by 2028 to reach nearly 3,200 stores across the United States. As a Corporate Counsel II focused on Commercial Transactions, you'll play a critical role in navigating the legal complexities that fuel this growth. You'll be part of a Legal team trusted with strategic direction and accountability for the full spectrum of legal matters that impact our business.

What You'll Do

• Lead and advise on commercial transaction matters, including contracts, negotiations, and deal structures essential to retail operations and expansion
• Partner with business units to provide proactive legal counsel on commercial agreements, vendor relationships, and transaction documentation
• Manage complex commercial transactions from inception through closing, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across finance, operations, real estate, and procurement to structure deals and resolve legal issues
• Maintain expertise in commercial law as it applies to retail operations and strategic growth initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Licensed attorney with a track record in commercial transaction law
• Experience negotiating and structuring commercial agreements in a corporate setting
• Strong understanding of retail or commercial business operations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and business judgment skills
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience advising at the counsel level or above
