About the Role
Sitting within the Technical Assistance Mechanism (TAM) of the DREEM initiative — a partnership between WUSC and the Mastercard Foundation — this on-demand expert pool draws on the firsthand knowledge of refugee and displaced (RDP) youth. The wider programme aims to help one million displaced young people reach dignified work and 35,000 to access education. As a Youth RDP Inclusion Advisor, you will take on targeted assignments that make technical support to the Foundation's partners more relevant, responsive, and rooted in the realities faced by displaced youth.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise partners on practical ways to better include displaced youth, and co-create or strengthen RDP inclusion action plans.
- Review program designs so they address barriers facing RDP youth, especially young women and persons with disabilities.
- Help facilitate workshops and training for Foundation staff, partners, and RDP-led organisations (RLOs).
- Contribute to and validate practical tools and resources, ensuring they are culturally and contextually fitting.
- Provide technical inputs, feedback on reports, and participate in working-group meetings.
Qualifications
- Lived experience of displacement as a refugee or internally displaced person.
- Aged 18–35 at the time of application.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas such as advocacy, program design, gender analysis, monitoring and evaluation, research and learning, communications, education inclusion, or economic-sector programming (agriculture, MSME/financial inclusion, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, digital economy, green entrepreneurship).
- French or Arabic language skills are an asset.
- Experience leading or working within RDP-led organisations is strongly encouraged. The annual pool of 15 prioritises young women and persons with disabilities.
