About This Position
The Chief Development Officer at GLIDE is a pivotal role in our mission to deliver compassionate, sustained, and comprehensive care to all in need. For over 50 years, GLIDE has been working on the front lines of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood— one of the United States’ most challenged yet inspiring communities. This position requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in fundraising and development strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to secure financial resources for GLIDE's programs and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with key donors, foundations, and corporate partners to ensure sustained support.
- Oversee the development team and coordinate events that drive revenue and awareness for GLIDE’s mission.
- Evaluate and enhance donor engagement strategies to maximize giving opportunities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gift solicitation and event management.
- Experience in developing and managing a diverse portfolio of individual donors, foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
