Role Overview
The Moran Company is partnering with Newhouse to recruit a Chief Development Officer (CDO) for their organization. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced professionals in the fields of Chief Development Officer, Chief Advancement Officer, Vice President, or Director of Development to lead and build Newhouse's comprehensive multi-year fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with the organization's goals and vision
- Build and manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and other key stakeholders
- Oversee all aspects of development operations, including donor stewardship and special events
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to fundraising activities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of development professionals
What You Bring
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of development, including at least five years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to cultivate major gifts
- Experience managing and mentoring a team of development professionals
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
