The Opportunity

CID, a renowned institution locally, nationally and globally for its work with children who are deaf and hard of hearing to teach them to listen and talk, is seeking an experienced Chief Development Officer (CDO) to serve as the lead fundraising strategist. The CDO will be responsible for building and implementing the fundraising leadership structure necessary for CID’s continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Leverage existing relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and other stakeholders to secure funding.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with CID's mission and strategic goals.
• Maintain strong partnerships with community leaders, influencers, and philanthropic organizations.
• Oversee the development of annual campaigns, special events, and major gift initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between fundraising efforts and organizational objectives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in nonprofit or corporate fundraising.
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts, foundation grants, and sponsorships.
• Proven track record of building and managing high-performing development teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
