About the Role
As a Certified Automotive Technician at Hertz, you'll play a critical role in keeping our fleet roadworthy and safe. Working in our Alexandria service facility, you'll apply your technical expertise to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles, ensuring every car meets our high standards before returning to customers.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostic evaluations on rental vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Execute routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Conduct brake inspections, suspension work, and steering repairs
- Complete Virginia State vehicle inspections and certification documentation
- Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
- Collaborate with fleet management to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime
What We're Looking For
- Current automotive technician certification (ASE or equivalent recognized credential)
- Valid Virginia State Inspection License
- Proven experience servicing and repairing vehicles
