CDL A Delivery Driver

Mclane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to join its team in Plymouth, Hennepin County. This full‑time position focuses on safe, timely transportation of goods to regional customers.

About the Role

As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will operate company‑assigned tractor‑trailer units to deliver products on scheduled routes. The role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, accurate record‑keeping, and maintaining the condition of the vehicle and cargo.

What You'll Do

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment while securing cargo for transport
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, adjusting for traffic, weather, or customer needs as directed
• Complete delivery paperwork, obtain signatures, and report any discrepancies or incidents promptly
• Maintain communication with dispatch and customer service teams to provide updates on delivery status
• Keep the tractor and trailer clean, perform basic maintenance, and report mechanical issues to the shop
• Observe all company policies, federal and state transportation laws, and safety best practices

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Minimum of one year of over‑the‑road or regional delivery experience (or equivalent training)
• Ability to pass Department of Transportation physical exam and drug screen
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe driving practices
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Basic math skills for completing delivery logs and verifying quantities
