As a CBM Specialist 2, you will serve as a condition-based maintenance expert dedicated to keeping plant equipment running at peak performance. This is a full-time, on-site contract position based in the Bucks, Alabama area (Chastang, Mobile County), spanning an estimated eight-month engagement. Your core mission is to track machinery behavior, catch warning signs early, and help the plant team prevent costly unplanned downtime before it happens.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and assess the operating condition of plant equipment to detect emerging problems and potential failure points.
- Gather, organize, and interpret condition monitoring data to support data-driven maintenance decisions.
- Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations and offer technical guidance to plant and operations teams.
- Apply specialized condition-monitoring tools and diagnostic technologies to evaluate equipment health and reliability trends.
- Partner with maintenance personnel to prioritize interventions and reduce the risk of equipment breakdowns.
Qualifications
- Between 5 and 10 years of hands-on experience in condition-based maintenance, reliability engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze condition monitoring data and convert findings into practical guidance.
- Working knowledge of condition-monitoring instruments and diagnostic methods used in an industrial plant setting.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to advise cross-functional plant teams.
- Willingness to work full-time and on-site at the Chastang, Mobile County location for the duration of the contract.
