Are you a safety professional ready to make high-voltage substation projects safer? FindTalent is hiring a full-time Safety Specialist - Substation (Electrical Construction) based in Raleigh, Wake County, to champion jobsite safety across electrical construction and transmission work.
About the Role
As a Safety Specialist - Substation, you will serve as the on-the-ground safety authority for substation and electrical construction projects. FindTalent partners with infrastructure teams that build and energize the power grid, and we are looking for experienced specialists who are genuinely passionate about protecting crews working in demanding, high-energy environments. This is a non-union, full-time position headquartered out of Raleigh, Wake County, with the expectation of supporting projects where safety leadership is needed most.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a proactive safety culture across substation and electrical construction sites.
- Conduct routine site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations on transmission and substation work.
- Monitor crew compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training for field personnel.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with project managers, supervisors, and contractors to keep safety central to every phase of construction.
Qualifications
- Hands-on safety experience within electrical construction, substation, or transmission environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and recognized field safety practices.
- Strong ability to identify hazards and intervene before incidents occur.
- Clear communication skills for coaching crews and influencing safe behavior at every level.
- Willingness to be present on active jobsites and adapt to evolving project demands.
