About the Role

As a Cash Balancing POD Adj Specialist I, you'll work within Woodforest's Proof of Deposit operations, processing daily cash balancing functions and handling adjustment transactions that keep the bank's financial records accurate and compliant. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a structured, deadline-driven environment and want meaningful ownership of their work.

What You'll Do

• Process and reconcile daily cash transactions, identifying and resolving out-of-balance conditions across branch accounts
• Review, research, and post adjustment entries related to deposit discrepancies, encoding errors, and other exception items
• Collaborate with branch staff and internal operations teams to investigate and correct balancing differences in a timely manner
• Maintain thorough, audit-ready documentation of all adjustments and resolutions
• Meet daily production deadlines while upholding accuracy standards required by banking regulations
• Support process improvement initiatives within the POD Adjustments team

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in finance, accounting, or business is a plus
• Prior experience in banking operations, cash handling, or financial reconciliation preferred
• Strong numerical aptitude and a meticulous eye for detail
• Proficiency with data entry and comfort working within banking or financial software systems
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for cross-department coordination
• Ability to manage time effectively and perform accurately under daily processing pressures
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with bank policies and applicable regulations
