Associate Director, Bioanalytical Sciences

Kailera Therapeutics is seeking an accomplished Associate Director, Bioanalytical Sciences to join our growing team in Waltham, Middlesex County. In this full-time, on-site role, you will help shape the bioanalytical strategy behind a pipeline of novel therapies for obesity and related metabolic conditions.

About the Role

As Associate Director, Bioanalytical Sciences at Kailera Therapeutics, you will lead the design, development, and oversight of bioanalytical methods that support drug development from discovery through clinical stages. This Waltham-based position sits at the intersection of science and strategy, giving you meaningful influence over how our therapies advance toward patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the development, validation, and transfer of bioanalytical assays supporting pharmacokinetic, biomarker, and immunogenicity programs.
• Manage relationships with contract research organizations and external partners to ensure data quality and timely delivery.
• Author and review bioanalytical sections of regulatory submissions and study reports.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, nonclinical, and translational teams to align bioanalytical work with program goals.
• Apply regulatory and industry standards to ensure compliance across all bioanalytical activities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent experience in bioanalytical sciences.
• Demonstrated expertise in bioanalytical method development and validation within a pharmaceutical or biotech setting.
• Working knowledge of regulatory expectations governing bioanalysis.
• Proven ability to oversee external vendors and lead complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work on-site in Waltham, Middlesex County.
