Netsmart is hiring a full-time Business Solution Architect – Post Implementation to serve as a trusted finance and revenue cycle advisor for healthcare and human services clients across the United States (nationwide) (nationwide). If you thrive on untangling complex post-go-live billing challenges and guiding clients toward measurable operational gains, this role was built for you.

About the Role

As a Business Solution Architect at Netsmart, you act as a hands-on, consultative subject matter expert who helps clients optimize their financial and revenue cycle workflows after system implementation. Working primarily within behavioral health and public sector environments, you diagnose real-world system usage, evaluate configuration and workflow design, and translate tangled issues into clear, actionable best-practice recommendations. The focus centers on finance and revenue cycle management — spanning eligibility, claims, remittance, accounts receivable, and financial reporting — with particular depth in myAvatar finance functionality and Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and state-regulated billing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements that deliver workflow and solution design aligned to defined business benefits.
  • Guide clients through current workflows, upgrades, system changes, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary consultant for troubleshooting, solution consultation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, providing appropriate issue escalation and engagement support.
  • Resolve escalated problems during installation, operation, maintenance, or testing using deep solution expertise.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure delivery meets engagement goals.
  • Coach and mentor solution teams on recommended methodology and practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years in healthcare information technology implementation or consulting.
  • At least two years of Electronic Health Record solution experience.
  • A minimum of one year of project management experience.
  • Strong communication across technical, clinical, and operational teams, plus the ability to document and present architecture concepts clearly.
  • Talent for making sense of complex, high-volume, and occasionally conflicting information to solve problems.
  • Preferred: myAvatar experience, billing system implementations, CPT/HCPCS coding, 837P/837I claims, UB-04, 835 remittance and denial management, A/R strategies, and public-sector or California DHCS workflows.

Build the skills for this role

Useful foundations for this title include solution architecture after go-live, requirements and gap analysis, stakeholder facilitation, and clear written design or change notes. No certification family or costed resources were supplied in the data set, so treat any vendor or domain certs as optional and verify current pricing from official sources before planning spend.

Expect scenarios on post-implementation escalations, trade-offs between quick fixes and durable design, and how you align product, delivery, and customer success. Prepare 1–2 examples of stabilizing a live solution, clarifying ownership across teams, and communicating risk and options to non-technical sponsors.

A strong fit combines architecture judgment with hands-on post-go-live problem solving and calm customer partnership. Preference for pure greenfield design-only work or pure ticket-level support may be a weaker match for a post-implementation architect mandate at Netsmart.
