About the Role

As a Barista, you'll be the face of our Birmingham café, welcomed by regular customers and new guests alike. You'll operate espresso machines and point-of-sale systems, prepare hot and cold beverages, and maintain food safety standards throughout your shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys genuine customer interaction and takes satisfaction in executing consistent, quality work every day.

What You'll Do

• Prepare specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to Starbucks standards
• Welcome customers and take orders with accuracy and friendliness
• Operate cash registers and payment systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, espresso bar, and equipment
• Stock supplies and assist with inventory management
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak and off-peak hours
• Handle food preparation safely and follow health and sanitation guidelines
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere for customers and coworkers

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and mornings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Reliable transportation to reach our Inverness Center location
• Prior food service or retail experience is a plus but not required
