About the Role
We're seeking baristas for our café at New York Law School (185 West Broadway, 5th Floor, Manhattan) in the Grand Central area. This is an immediate-start opportunity with both full-time and part-time schedules available to match your needs. You'll prepare quality beverages, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain a welcoming café environment.
What You'll Do
- Create espresso-based drinks and specialty coffee beverages to customer specifications
- Operate and maintain espresso machines and café equipment
- Process orders and payments accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Keep the café counter, equipment, and workspace clean and organized
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service and accommodate special requests
- Maintain inventory and alert management when restocking is needed
- Work effectively with teammates to keep operations running smoothly
What We're Looking For
- Prior barista experience (required)
- Familiarity with espresso drinks and coffee preparation techniques
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including afternoons and evenings (typically 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm; specifics discussed at interview)
- Excellent customer service attitude and professional communication
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Availability to start immediately
