Chisago Lakes Schools is seeking an experienced B-Squad Girls Volleyball Coach for our Athletics Department. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to mentor student-athletes and build a competitive second-team volleyball program in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul region, approximately 35 miles northeast of the metro area.
About the Role
As the B-Squad Girls Volleyball Coach, you will direct all aspects of secondary-level volleyball programming, from skill development and conditioning to game strategy and team leadership. You'll work with a roster of dedicated young athletes, emphasizing both competitive excellence and personal growth. This role reports to the Athletics Department and works closely with the varsity program to ensure consistent coaching philosophy and player development pathways.
What You'll Do
- Plan and conduct daily practice sessions, focusing on fundamental techniques, tactical awareness, and game readiness
- Coach during competition, making strategic adjustments and providing real-time feedback
- Evaluate player performance and design individual and team improvement plans
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and athletic records
- Build team cohesion and cultivate a positive, respectful culture
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administrators
- Coordinate with the varsity coaching staff to align developmental goals
What We're Looking For
- Proven coaching experience in volleyball, ideally at the high school level
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and offensive and defensive systems
- Ability to teach effectively and adapt instruction to varying skill levels
- Passion for youth athletics and student-athlete development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to sportsmanship, safety, and inclusive team practices
