About the Role

As a Repair and Tool Technician with Home Depot, you will assess the condition of a wide range of power equipment and carry out the repairs needed to return each unit to reliable working order. You may be based in one of our stores with a Tool Rental Center or in a dedicated repair center, where you will guide customers toward the right equipment and confirm that machines are properly serviced and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices to pinpoint faults.
• Perform repairs and routine upkeep so that units stay dependable and safe to operate.
• Recommend suitable equipment and solutions based on each customer's needs.
• Support daily operations within a store Tool Rental Center or a repair center.
• Keep serviced equipment well maintained and accurately documented.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on experience repairing small engines, power tools, or outdoor power equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly explain equipment recommendations to customers.
• Comfort working on-site in Hawthorne, Los Angeles County (this position is not remote).
• Willingness to work across both store-based Tool Rental Centers and repair center environments.
