About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated AV Technician to join our team at Shalom College in Gooburrum, Bundaberg Surrounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating audio-visual equipment, ensuring all technical aspects of school events run smoothly, and providing support to staff and students.

• Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual systems
• Support in the setup and operation of AV equipment during school functions and meetings
• Maintain inventory of AV equipment and supplies
• Assist with the troubleshooting and repair of AV equipment as needed
• Collaborate with staff to ensure AV needs are met for various events and activities

What You'll Do

The AV Technician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Installing and configuring audio-visual systems in classrooms and common areas
• Maintaining the inventory of AV equipment and supplies to ensure availability during events
• Providing technical support for staff and students during school functions and meetings
• Assisting with the troubleshooting and repair of AV equipment as needed, including replacing faulty components and performing routine maintenance
• Collaborating with teachers and administrators to understand their AV needs and providing solutions accordingly

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in audio-visual support or related field
• Familiarity with various AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems
• Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with staff and students
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
