Role Overview

The University of Otago invites applications for the position of Kaiāwhina Whare/Sub warden at Arana College. The role involves assisting with the provision of pastoral and administrative duties to support the operation of the University’s residential Colleges. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day management of Arana College to ensure smooth operations and compliance with University policies.
• Support students in addressing pastoral concerns and issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Oversee student activities and events, ensuring they align with the College’s values and objectives.
• Manage the residential facilities to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
• Work closely with other staff members to coordinate services and support systems within Arana College.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. A relevant tertiary qualification in education, social sciences, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Experience in residential management or student support roles would be advantageous.
