What This Role Involves
As an Automotive Technician with 2419 Tune, you'll be the hands-on expert diagnosing vehicle issues, executing routine maintenance, and completing repairs across multiple vehicle systems. You'll work directly with customers to understand their concerns, use industry-standard diagnostic tools to identify problems, and deliver solutions that extend vehicle life and performance. Your work ensures that every vehicle leaving our facility meets strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using test equipment and vehicle software
- Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake service, and fluid flushes
- Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, cooling systems, and other major components
- Conduct test drives to verify repair quality and vehicle performance
- Document all work performed, parts used, and labor time in shop management systems
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and shop management
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all workplace safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Automotive technician certification (ASE) or equivalent hands-on training and experience preferred
- Solid understanding of vehicle mechanical systems, electronics, and diagnostics
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, lift equipment, and hand/power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Physical capability to lift, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
