About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General, you'll be a key member of the store leadership team, working alongside the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, outstanding customer service, and a welcoming shopping experience. You'll share responsibility for store performance, staff supervision, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Supervise store associates and support training and development initiatives
• Assist with opening and closing store procedures, inventory management, and merchandising
• Help maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with company policies
• Provide exceptional customer service and support the sales floor when needed
• Monitor cash handling, register operations, and loss prevention
• Contribute to team scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels
• Work with the Store Manager to drive sales, control expenses, and improve store performance

What We're Looking For

• Retail or supervisory experience, ideally in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
