As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Homosassa Springs, you'll work alongside the Store Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly, lead a team of store associates, and deliver an exceptional shopping experience for every customer who walks through the door. This is a high-visibility position that puts you at the center of store performance, people development, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise, coach, and motivate store associates to meet performance and service standards
• Execute merchandising directives, planograms, and promotional resets to maintain a well-organized sales floor
• Manage inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and conducting periodic counts
• Handle cash management responsibilities such as register operations, deposits, and reconciliation
• Uphold loss prevention standards and ensure store security protocols are followed
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment that meets company and regulatory standards
• Step in as acting Store Manager when needed, making decisions that keep the store performing at its best

What We're Looking For

• Prior retail supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop hourly team members
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities
• Solid math and organizational skills; experience with basic cash-handling required
• Flexibility to work a full-time schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stock shelves and move merchandise; must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent required
