About This Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate SENCO to join our team at KingsWay School's Junior Campus (Years 1-6). The role is full-time, based on the Hibiscus Coast of Auckland. As an Associate SENCO, you will play a crucial part in supporting students with special educational needs while fostering their growth as servant leaders.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supporting the SENCO in managing and coordinating the Special Education Needs (SEN) program for students in Years 1-6.
- Assisting in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure effective support for students with special educational needs.
- Participating in school-wide initiatives that promote inclusivity and equity.
What You Bring
- A relevant degree or qualification in Special Education or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as an Associate SENCO or similar role in a primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and special education practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A passion for working with students who have diverse learning needs.
